Foundation Drilling

Our Foundation Drilling crews have extensive experience drilling in challenging soil conditions including rock, sand, and wet conditions. They are experienced in utilizing drilling modifiers such as rock drills, casings, both temporary and permanent casings, and drilling wet holes using slurry and other specialty additives. Our crews have drilled thousands of holes across the mid-west and specialize in working with our customers on coming up with solutions for the most challenging and difficult projects.

We specialize in transmission line and substation piers, however we also have experience in cell tower piers, commercial building drilled foundations, direct embed applications, and specialized CMP installations.

From Indiana farm land to West Virginia mountainsides and everywhere in between we are excited to be your partner on your next drilled pier project.

SAFETY IS OUR #1 PRIORITY

At Dig-It, we are a safety company first and foremost. Our number one priority above all is the safety of our employees, customers, and the communities we serve. Safety does not happen by accident and our leadership team is constantly communicating and collaborating to ensure that any safety issues are addressed in an effort to achieve our goal of zero harm. Any safety incidents are internally investigated, and any operational changes needed are quickly implemented throughout the company.  Each employee that chooses to work for Dig-It, Inc. is indoctrinated into our Safety Program from the minute that they agree to our Health and Safety Commitment.

DAILY SAFETY PLANNING

In the underground utility industry, the job site and scope of work is constantly changing. That is why it is important to understand the presence of any hazards and changes. A Task Hazard Analysis and Job Briefing is completed every morning prior to the start of work. Job site hazards and changes to the scope, site, or task are communicated through multiple daily tailgate meetings.

A HABIT

Training is completed annually for high hazard job tasks. The training includes: Fall Protection, Down-Hole Rescue, Signal and Rigging, OSHA 10 & 30 Hour for Construction, Vehicle and Equipment Inspections, as well as CPR/First Aid/AED Certifications. An AED is available on each Dig-It job site.

DRUG AND ALCOHOL PROGRAM

Along with pre-employment, random, and post-incident drug screening, every employee is subject to detailed background checks that reveal any potential DOT drug & alcohol violations or safety incidents at previous employers.

OPERATOR QUALIFICATION PROGRAM

Dig-It operates our own internal OQ program to meet the requirements of CFR Part 192 and is on the OQ- Ready list for multiple Pipeline Operators. Every team member is routinely evaluated by our own in-house Evaluators to ensure that we meet the highest standards in safety and compliance.
